Week 2

For those of you looking for more activites here is the page where you can
find the scavenger hunt and music activity

Here you can find some activities to help keep up with your French while at home.

1. Finish your Book Creator book (access book creator on the student portal)
During the last few days we began working on a book using Book Creator using
the “family vocabulary”.  For those of you who started, you may finnish what you’ve
started or create another one. I love reading what you’ve come up with.

The code to access my classroom book creator account is
5XJ9XPF

Success Criteria that we came up with together in class
  • My book has between 6 and 12 pages
  • I used family vocabulary
  • My sentences have capital letters, periods and my family words are spelled properly
  • My story has a beginning, middle, end and my characters have a problem to solve

Family vocabulary can be found here:

2.  Record yourself talking
I want to know how you’re doing and how you’re keeping busy while at home.
Using flipgrid, create a short video letting me know.

Copy and paste the link to your browser to access my Flipgrid class.

Remember our sentence starters

I went --- Je suis allé I am good  -- ça vas bien
I saw -- J’ai vue   I feel so-so  -- ça vas comme-ci comme-ça
I watched  -- J’ai regardé I’m not good -- ça vas mal
I visited -- J’ai visité I’m bored -- je trouve ça ennuyant
I played  -- J’ai joué

If you are having a difficult time using Flipgrip, you can also record yourself on
https://vocaroo.com/  and send me the link via email.

3. Reading - I encourage you all to find time to read in French while at home.

You can find french books to read on
Under the resources section you need to find world languages then French.
Here you will find different leveled French books.

4. Writing
Using the same sentence starters that you would in your voice recording, write
about how you are doing, activities you are doing to keep busy and what you miss
doing the most.  Share the google document with me and I’ll write you back :).
Remember you can use https://www.wordreference.com/enfr/to (wordreference) to help.

5. Duolingo
You can keep practicing your french using duolingo.  If you cannot find your password,
you or your parents can email me and I will send it back to you.

French education website

Mini TFO offers videos, songs and games for children aged 2-12.
